Buyers and sellers will benefit from understanding what lies ahead in the purchase and sale of a business. While each transaction has its unique twists and turns, most will follow a similar 9 stage path, from initial exploration to final closing. Buyers and sellers want the same thing, to close the transaction. But they have very different needs which must be aligned, or at least taken into account.
